छोटी सी कहानी से, बारिशों के पानी से,
सारी वादी भर गयी,
न जाने क्यों, दिल भर गया,
न जाने क्यों, आँख भर गयी।


शाखों पे पत्ते थे, पत्तों पे बूँदें थी,
बूंदों में पानी था, पानी में आंसू थे।

दिल में गिले भी थे, पहले मिले भी थे,
मिल के पराये थे, दो हमसाये थे।

रूकती है, थमती है, फिर भी बरसती है
बादल पे पाओं रख के, बारिश मचलती है..

Chhoti si kahaani se, baarishon ke paani se
Saari vaadi bhar gayi
Na jaane kyun, dil bhar gaya
Na jaane kyun, aankh bhar gayi

Shaakhon pe patte the, patton pe boondein thi,
Boondon mein paani tha, paani mein aansoo the

Dil mein gile bhi the, pahle mile bhi the,
Mil ke paraaye the, do humsaaye the

Rukti hai, thamti hai, phir bhi barasti hai
Baadal pe paaon rakh ke, baarish machalti hai..
